I'm putting aside the 10 questions about your character meme briefly because I was tagged by Caticus to give eight facts about one of my characters. I guess I will go with my mascot, Domino. If you want to do the 10 questions thing, just go to my previous journal. On to the facts!
Oh wait, I need to post the rules first.
RULES:
1. Post these rules.
2. Post eight facts about your character.
3. Tag eight other characters.
4. Post their names with the creators avatars username.
The facts:
1. Domino is based on a real guinea pig I once owned that had the same name. I adopted him from a girl that went to the same middle school I went. She was moving away and she couldn't take her pet rat and guinea pig with her. I volunteered to take the guinea pig. The real Domino looked pretty much like the cartoon one, fat, white, and a black mask and black back. Domino died after I had him for about a year and a half, but I'm glad for the time we had together.
2. Domino's personality has changed several times since I started to draw him in my comics. At first he was a trouble maker always doing mischievous things, but ever since I added Rocky to the strip, I gave the mischievous personality to him. Domino is now a little more childish and naive.
3. I haven't really come up with a back story for Domino or any of my other characters, but currently I'm thinking maybe Domino was born as a lab guinea pig being subjected to unusual experiments and was one day rescued by Rocky, which is why they're best friends. This isn't set in stone, so it's bound to change.
4. I've also thought about giving Domino at least one family member. Before the escaped lab guinea pig idea occurred to me, I thought maybe he'd be raised by his uncle (yes, the old cliche that the protagonist has one or both parents missing), or maybe even be Cinnamon and Midnight's younger brother. Neither of those ideas went anywhere though.
5. My oldest drawings of Domino have him with much shorter legs, more like a real guinea pig. I made them longer because to me, it seemed that actions like running or kicking wouldn't look as exciting or expressive when a character has really short legs. Whether I'll return to the stubby leg look, I don't know.
6. I imagine Domino being around 2 and a half to 3 feet tall. That's huge for a guinea pig, but hey, he's a cartoon character. Making him big also makes it much easier for him to interact with the other characters.
7. Domino's favorite sport is paint ball. I've got one or two old comics where he plays the game with Rocky, but I haven't drawn him playing it recently. I've never played paint ball myself, but it looks fun!
8. Although Cinnamon, Midnight, and Domino are all guinea pigs and have similar body shapes, Domino is the only one with a belly button. It's there to make him look cuter.

BlueSky is now public, follow me on there!
Ok, I'm seeing a lot people now saying that BlueSky is now open to the public and invite codes are no longer needed. Now I feel a bit bad because I had 5 invite codes and forgot to ever offer them to anyone. But anyway, if anyone wants to follow me on this Twitter/X knock off, you can find me here! https://bsky.app/profile/guineapigdan.bsky.social
Birthday/I am running for president
Today is my 35th birthday, and according to the US constitution, I am now old enough to run for president. My vice-president will be Steamboat Willie Mickey, who just entered the public domain this year. Might as well make good use of him now that he's free from the clutches of Disney. My friend KeybladeRaccoon will be part of my cabinet as Secretary of State. I have not yet decided on who else will be in my cabinet, so anyone interested just leave a comment saying I want to be secretary of -add whatever noun you want-. Some of my policy positions include: -abolish all student loan debt. -multi-universal healthcare, expanding healthcare not only to be universal, but also into other dimensions and planes of reality. -turning Washington DC into a continuous, city-wide furry convention that lasts the whole year. Other major cities across the United States will also be converted into city-wide furry conventions, so furry conventions can be accessible to people that can't make the trip to
I was asked to be in a furry docuseries, CAUTION!
Ok this is an odd series of events that's happened this past month, and I've decided to open up about it to let people know something really strange is going on and to be careful if anyone asks you to be in a film whose details you don't really know anything about. There's been times when people were tricked into appearing in documentaries that portrayed them badly, ie Ben Stein's 2008 creationist documentary Expelled tricking several biologists to appear in the movie just to embarrass them and quote their interviews out of context. If this documentary/docuseries does come out one day and turns out to be a disaster, this will be a record of some of the warning signs that happened along the way. On August 31, a filmmaker DMed me over Instagram, but I was attending SacAnime at the time so I didn't see the message until a few days after I got home. The filmmaker said they were interested in making a docuseries about the furry fandom and wanted to dive into some of the darker stories of
Follow me on BlueSky+SacAnime
I've decided to jump on a bandwagon and make an account on Blue Sky (thanks to WaxBadger providing me an invite code). Elon Musk is ruining Twit- sorry, I mean X, and Blue Sky has become a Twitter/X alternative. I dunno if I'll post a lot on there but if anyone has their own Blue Sky accounts, come and give me a follow. GuineaPigDan on BlueSky Also this weekend I'll be attending SacAnime. Some famous people attending you may have heard of include Tom Kenny and Don Bluth, so there may soon be awkward selfies of me with those people. Anyone else planning to go?

Domino sounds so adorable. ;w; You should draw the long-legged version of him looking at the short-legged version of himself with a confused expression. LOL That would be so funny. xD
BELLY BUTTONS... Little Cat (Like in the icon, but you can't see it) usually has nipples and an "x" for a belly button. TEEHEE Like HERE (Nipples are usually black, though.)
I hate saying nipples. nooooples.
